MEET THE ARTIST
Art is soul transformed into matter.
Become who you are

I’ve been painting since I was a child.
As an only child, art has always been my refuge—a space of my own, where I felt protected, never alone. Coloring, drawing, creating… it was my way of existing,
a magical place that comforted me and, at the same time, gave me strength.
It was my inner home—the place where I truly felt myself.
Over the years, I understood it wasn’t just a passion, but a need I could never live without.
“Become who you are” is a phrase I’ve always felt deeply connected to.
And it was through an encounter with Miró’s art that I discovered abstraction:
a free, profound language that speaks without words, leaving room for what cannot be explained but only felt.
I chose to follow this path, even when it felt difficult.
For years, I worked by day and painted by night, because I could never imagine a life without creating. Creativity was my lifeblood—even when I was tired, even when everything felt far away.

I never wanted a different life. Over time, I received many “no’s”,but also many lessons that taught me how to rise again.
At every obstacle, I responded with determination, guided by the awareness that your second life begins when you realize you only have one.
And I wanted to truly live it. So I bet on myself. I gave more and more space to art in my life, until it became my profession—with pride, passion, and persistence. It wasn’t easy, but it was real. And that’s the nature of the world: it punishes those who have wings and don’t fly.
I chose to fly.
Today, each of my works is a part of me. A fragment of uniqueness, silence, matter, and light. An invitation to slow down, to feel, to connect with what is essential and profound. With your own refuge, with your own truth.
Artist Biography
Cristina Simeoni is is an abstract artist based in Mantua, Italy. Her artistic journey began in childhood, when she took part in the traditional Madonnari gatherings—Italy’s street artists who paint sacred images on pavement using chalk alone. She later refined her technique through years of study and experience: from scenic painting for open-air stage sets in the early ’90s, to courses in decorative arts and classical oil painting.
Over the years, Cristina has exhibited her work in national and international shows across prestigious cities and sought-after destinations, receiving recognition from critics and collectors alike.
Her paintings have appeared in notable art publications and are part of public and private collections.
Today, she creates contemporary abstract paintings using oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Her practice involves the use of structural pastes, mineral powders, natural fibers, sand, and metal—materials chosen not only for their aesthetic depth but for their ability to interact with light and time.
Cristina’s works are sculptural and emotionally charged, combining tactile surfaces with a luminous tension.
She often explores contrasts—between instinct and precision, texture and stillness—crafting surfaces that seem to breathe, shift, and respond to their environment. Her goal is not to embellish, but to reveal. To create spaces where light becomes matter, and matter becomes emotion.
Artist Statement

“Color directly influences the soul. Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings.
The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another purposively, to cause vibrations in the soul.”
— Wassily Kandinsky

My work is born from a desire to strip away the superfluous and get to the essence—of a gesture, a feeling, a surface.
I’ve always believed that complicating is easy, but simplifying takes mastery.
My paintings aim for that essentiality: powerful yet minimal, material yet contemplative. They are born of contrasts—between control and instinct, silence and tension, stillness and vibration.
At first, I explored it through contrasts, glowing bursts of oil color, deep shadows, and nocturnal luminosities painted on the canvas. Then, my focus shifted: I began sculpting the light itself. This is when white and texture became central. Not as absence, but as instruments through which light could manifest physically—breaking, slipping, and flowing through every ridge, fold, and wave on the surface. The material comes to life on the canvas through light. It becomes a living presence, vibrant and ever-changing, shifting with the passing hours and responding to the space it inhabits.
Today, my palette has expanded.
I work with metals, mineral powders, sand textures, and natural elements that absorb and reflect light in unexpected ways. This exploration has led me to study not only how light moves across a surface, but how it is held, rejected, and transformed by color and texture—at times velvety and soft, at others sharp, iridescent, or blazing. These materials allow me to sculpt the surface and let light become an active part of the painting—changing the work from hour to hour, as shadows shift and reflections evolve. The painting becomes alive: it breathes with the space around it. My canvas is no longer a fixed image, but an encounter.
A dialogue between matter and light, between the passion of the artist and the emotions of the viewer.
Each piece is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to connect—intimately, deeply—with the inner essence of the self and the work.
Values
Art as a mirror of the soul
Each painting is a dialogue between light and matter.
Imperfection becomes beauty, silence becomes presence.

Sustainability and fine art excellence
Every artwork is born from refined techniques and precious materials, designed to endure through time with respect for nature.

A silent contribution
Every year, a part of my proceeds quietly supports medical research — because beauty, in all its forms, should also bring hope.
