The floater frame is contemporary and minimalist, so not too flashy. Handmade by a framer. If you choose the framed artwork from the shop, you will receive the framed painting with the chosen frame, ready to hang. If you would like another frame color, please feel free to contact me.
From the size 7x5 inch (cm. 18x13) to the size 28x20 inch (cm.70x50), framed artwork sizes increases by 1 inch (cm.3)per side (ex. painting 20"x20" frameless / 21"x21" framed)
From the size 28x28 inch (cm. 70x70), framed artwork sizes increases by 2 inch (cm. 6) per side (ex. painting 40"x40" frameless / 42"x42" framed)
Silver, gold and copper frames are not painted but made with the traditional gilding technique in gold, silver or copper leaf.
Please note that frames can be ordered only with an artwork purchased from my shop.

PLEASE NOTE that, as frames are handmade by a framer, is possible change color or delete the frame order, within 7 days from order confirmation. After this period no frame changes are possible.

GILDED FRAMES
The frame is itself a work of art. The frame is assembled by hand, as you can see by the inserts on the corners on the back which make it very stable. The wood is treated with natural resins, it is painted with bole and then the gold leaf is applied by hand, sheet by sheet. When the leaf is dry, a second coat of gold leaf is applied, it is smoothed and brushed and finally protected with bitumen which creates an aged effect, slightly extinguishes the metal glow and gives character to the frame. The gold,the silver and the copper is not painted. Some small imperfections and ripples of the surface are deliberately present and they are characteristic of a handmade production that do not reduce the value of the product but ensure the advantage proving the handmade manufacturing procedure.
Please consider the frame as a product handmade with love and passion and not as a mass-produced industrial object.
