Nexus is a sculptural exploration of connection and tension, where an intricate structure appears to gather, bind and compress itself around an unseen centre. The work transforms the idea of the knot into a physical language of pressure, movement and containment. Radial tensions converge toward the central form while the continuous surface seems to fold and hold itself together, suggesting a moment suspended between cohesion and rupture.
The bronze surface amplifies this sense of tension through its changing response to light. Warm bronze reflections emerge from the darker recesses while raised and incised passages reveal a tactile rhythm that shifts with every change of illumination. Nexus evokes the forces that bind matter together, the invisible relationships through which separate elements become a single structure.
This one-of-a-kind artwork invites slow contemplation. Its sculptural relief, restrained palette, and shifting reflections create an immersive visual experience in which light becomes an active part of the composition. Velarium transforms the surface into a place of discovery, where permanence and fragility, darkness and luminosity exist in delicate equilibrium.
