The Sound of Life
Dimensions: 150 × 150 × 50 cm I 60 × 60 × 20 in
Technique: Visual and sound aluminum installation
The Sound of Life is an installation dedicated to music and its intimate connection with human existence.
Entirely made of aluminum, the work highlights a quality of this material that is often overlooked: its musicality.
The aesthetic presence, ductility, and structural strength of aluminum are combined with the pure, harmonious resonance of a tubular bell.
The aluminum instrument can be tuned to different tonal scales, merging technical sound research with symbolic meanings of peace and serenity rooted in Eastern philosophy.
Through its bright and crystalline tones, the work captures both the breath of the wind and an inner, resonant presence.

The visual dimension of the installation is completed through sound.
A sequence of heartbeats unfolds: first that of a fetus, followed by a young individual, then gradually slowing through adulthood, until the heartbeat of an elder dissolves into silence, completing the cycle of human life.
The sequence concludes with the sound of the tubular bell, activated by a breath of wind generated by the installation itself.
This rhythmic progression emphasizes the heartbeat as a vital music that accompanies us from the very beginning to the end of life, revealing that music is far closer than we imagine:
it lives within us.
