Waves, Breeze, Flame, and Cave are inspired by the four classical elements—water, air, fire, and earth—each capturing the essence and movement of its respective element through texture, light, and iridescence.
Breeze unfolds as a delicate movement of light across a sculpted surface. Iridescent tones drift gently over the canvas, releasing soft reflections of gold and silver that shift with the viewer’s perspective. The pearlescent ground remains calm and luminous, while metallic waves emerge in subtle relief, shaped by hand with texture paste. Their presence is quiet yet dynamic, evoking the sensation of a light current passing through the material.
The work is made in three metal interpretations: gold, a warm silver reminiscent of champagne, and a cooler, more crystalline silver. Each variation carries its own nuance, influencing how the artwork responds to light and space. The iridescent pigments absorb the surrounding colors and return them softly, allowing the piece to harmonize naturally with its environment.
Situated between painting and sculpture, Breeze explores depth, surface, and reflection through a refined, tactile language. The raised forms, gentle curves, and luminous layers remain intentionally visible, inviting slow observation. The result is an artwork defined by restraint and elegance, where light becomes an integral part of the composition, moving quietly across a sculpted, atmospheric landscape.
