Waves, Breeze, Flame, and Cave are inspired by the four classical elements—water, air, fire, and earth—each capturing the essence and movement of its respective element through texture, light, and iridescence.
Flame is an exploration of energy held in suspension. Iridescent tones move across the canvas with a restrained intensity, releasing glimmers of gold and silver that appear and recede as the viewer shifts position. The pearlescent surface becomes a luminous field, from which metallic waves rise in sculpted relief, shaped by hand with texture paste. Their movement is deliberate, never chaotic, evoking the quiet power of a flame captured at its most refined moment.
The work is available in three metal interpretations: gold, a warm silver reminiscent of champagne, and a cooler, more crystalline silver. Each variation alters the temperature of the piece, influencing how light travels across its surface and how the work resonates within its surroundings. The iridescent pigments absorb ambient tones and return them subtly, allowing the artwork to integrate seamlessly into its environment while maintaining a distinct, sculptural presence.
Situated between painting and sculpture, Flame transcends the flatness of the canvas through depth, texture, and light. Every gesture remains visible: the carved curves, the raised surfaces, the layered luminosity that unfolds over time.
