This painting was born from the idea of a mirage.
Not as an illusion, but as a presence made of light and matter.
The surface moves like a quiet landscape, shaped by slow, instinctive gestures. Metallic pigments emerge and recede, catching the light as sand does at different hours of the day. What appears solid becomes fluid. What seems still is, in fact, in constant transformation.
Gold and silver do not decorate the surface, they inhabit it. They breathe within the texture, creating subtle vibrations and silent reflections that change with every step of the viewer.
This work is not meant to describe a place, but to evoke a state.
A suspended horizon.
A memory of light.
A space where matter and luminosity dissolve into each other.
